Sobe Essential Energy Berry Pomegranate comes in a white and blue 16 fl. oz. can and is lightly carbonated. The interior of the can is filled with a purplish pink energy juice that smells like blueberry. Sobe Berry Pomegranate tasted like sweet blueberry with a light-sour aftertaste. The only thing that irritated me about the berry pomegranate flavor is the sweet syrup taste that tends to hang at the back of my throat.
I bought this energy drink at the Holiday gas station for $2.44, retail price before tax was $2.29. I think this energy drink cost too much for its value because the energy kick is less than average. After half an hour of drinking Sobe Berry Pomegranate, I felt a little head rush (probably from the caffeine and sugar) that was nowhere near the amount of energy I got from drinking XS and Snake Eye energy drinks. Sobe Berry Pomegranate is for people who likes sweet drinks without too much burst of energy. If you are looking for a drink that is going to boost your energy and keep you awake for a few hours, then this energy drink is not for you.
Overall, the taste of Sobe Berry Pomegranate is better than average. The only complaint I had is that it was too sweet, drinking 2 Sobe Berry Pomegranate in a roll is like eating cotton candy. I would rather spend $1.00 for a soda instead of $2.44 for an energy drink that gives me as much energy as a regular soda.
