If you are a person that loves to drink Red Bull but have a hard time with the extra sugar, you are in luck! The sugar free version of Red Bull tasted about the same as the original, like lemon-tart candy with a citrus flavor. It only has 10 calories and 3 grams of carb which is great for keeping the weight off. On the back of their can, Red Bull claims that its sugar free energy drink improves performance, increases concentration and reaction speed, and stimulates the metabolism.
The energy juice from Red Bull Sugar Free is lightly carbonated and light yellow in color, the juice is mixed well because it was not too sweet or too sour. There are no noticeable aftertaste and the juice goes down smooth, just remember to drink it cold for more refreshment.
Energy source comes mainly from caffeine and B-vitamins, Red Bull doesn’t tell how much caffeine is in its energy drinks but in general, most energy drinks have twice as much caffeine as a regular soda. If you are sensitive to caffeine, either drink with care or stay away from this energy drink.
The energy level in Red Bull sugar free is below average, all I felt was a light energy rush that woke me up slightly. I would say its energy kick is similar to drinking a soda but nowhere near some of the energy drinks I reviewed. The great thing about this energy drink is that there are no side affects, like increase in heart rate, breathing, headaches or shakes.
If you are looking for an energy drink that will kick you wide awake, this energy drink is not for you. I recommend this energy drink for people who loves citrus, sensitive to sugar, hate calories and just want a energy drink that is easy to drink with a decent kick of energy.
