Adding a tropical flavor to the XS line up is an excellent move for XS because it added something different to their energy drink line-up. XS Tropical Blast comes in two version, one has caffeine and the other doesn’t. Some people like to drink XS energy drinks because most of them contain 0 carbs, 0 sugar and 8 calories per can. Although these are nice features, it used unhealthy ingredients to obtain these features, such as artificial sweetener.

Tropical Blast is one of the better XS energy drinks, the most noticeable flavors are peach, passion fruit and a little bit of pineapple. After drinking my first gulp, I could see why XS called it Tropical Blast. The clear sweet carbonated energy juice is soothing, relaxing which reminds me of tropical drinks. The only bad thing I will say about its flavor is that it left a bittersweet aftertaste in my mouth, which lasted for at least an hour after drinking it.

Tropical Blast’s energy comes from amino acids, B-vitamins and caffeine (caffeine version only). Vitamin C is also added to help metabolize carbohydrates, the body’s main source of fuel. The energy level from Tropical Blast is above average and last about the same as its competitors. The thing I like about Tropical Blast’s energy rush is that there are no major side effects and the energy rush is steadier. Energy drinks that give me a quick burst of energy usually ends up giving me energy breakdowns and light headaches afterward. If you want more energy, drink the version with caffeine instead of the caffeine-free.
