XS Citrus Blast is invented for people who love the taste of citrus which is why it is infused with the flavors of orange, lemon and lime. Its light orange energy juice is carbonated to add freshness to its flavor. XS Citrus Blast contains 0 carbs, 0 sugar and only 8 calories. The most noticeable flavor is orange citrus. It taste similar to orange soda. Overall, its citrus flavor is above average but doesn’t compare to Sobe Essential Energy Orange.
XS Citrus Blast’s energy comes from B-vitamins, amino acids and adaptogenic herbs. Its energy did not last as long as some of the XS energy drinks I reviewed but kept me alert and focus for about an hour. Two things that concerned me about XS energy drinks are their synthetic ingredients, such as synthetic vitamins, and sucralose, an artificial sweetener. One of the synthetic vitamins found in this flavor is vitamin B12. It contains 4,900 percent of the percent daily value. To be safe you should limit one can per few days or less.
XS Citrus Blast is one of the better citrus flavored energy drinks on the market. The artificial sweetener adds a slightly different sweetness to its flavor but is nothing you can’t get use to. If you are health conscious, you may want to stay away from this energy drink because of its high levels of synthetic B-vitamins and sucralose.
