Bacon - Bad Fat Diet
Filed Under: Energy Food & Supplement
Bacon can be argued as one of the most popular pork products in the United States because it is easy to cook and as Americans, we love to eat greasy food. Bacon taste great with eggs in the morning but does not do much to increase your energy and is not healthy for your body. Bacon is high in fat and cholesterol which is bad for your heart and has little carbohydrates. Fat is not the best source of energy because it is hard for your body to breakdown fat for energy. Carbohydrates is your body’s number one source of energy because it is easy for your body to convert carbohydrates to energy. This is why carbohydrates are popular among athletes, especially complex carbohydrates.
Sodium nitrite is one of the main preservative in bacon, consuming high levels of sodium nitrite may lead to certain cancers in the digestive tract. When sodium nitrite reaches your stomach, it reacts with your stomach acids to form nitrosamines which is a chemical compound that has been known to cause cancer in animals. Eating unhealthy food has been linked to many diseases that can destroy your health and vitality. Keeping your body healthy is one of the main keys to long-term energy because when your health deteriorates, so does your energy.
