Healthy Energy Drink – Review

After reviewing over 100 different flavored energy drinks, I decided to break them down to the top 5 healthiest energy drink on the market. When I say “healthiest,” I do not mean that they are healthy for you. What I mean is that they may be healthier than most energy drinks on the market. The truth is, most or all energy drinks are not healthy for you because they are full of cheap synthetic vitamins and harmful chemicals. The sugar-free energy drinks are even worst because they contain artificial sweetener, usually sucralose which is a neurotoxin. If you want to learn more about the hidden dangers of energy drink, please read Side Effects of Energy Drink. My reviews are based on taste, energy level, sugar, caffeine and vitamin levels.

Here are 5 of the healthiest energy drink on the market.

  1. Guru Juicy Energy Drink
GURU: Out of all the energy drinks I reviewed GURU is the healthiest by far because it uses natural fruit juice from concentrate. As far as I can tell, there is no signs that it contains synthetic vitamins. From reading the ingredients on the back of the can, I did not see any synthetic vitamins either. GURU has 6 different flavors, most of them taste like natural fruit juice. Four of its flavors are non-carbonated except for the original and the sugar-free flavor. For the lack of B-vitamins, it did a great job boosting my energy. I recommend GURU energy drinks for people who are health conscious and want an energy drink that does not taste synthetic.
  2. Xyience Xenergy
Xyience Xenergy Cran Razz: This energy drink is the best sugar-free energy drink I tasted so far and is one of the most expensive. Xyience Cran Razz is the second healthiest energy drink on my list because of its natural flavor, energy blends, zero calories and B-vitamin levels. Some of its vitamins are synthetic but it does not have as much as XS and Verve. Xyience Cran Razz also contains sucralose, an artificial sweetener that has been known to have side effects. This energy drink kept me alert and focused for more than an hour and had no major side effects. Xyience energy drinks are available at certain convenience stores nationwide.
  3. Red Bull Energy Drink
Red Bull Sugar Free: If you like the original Red Bull, you will like the sugar free version because they taste very similar. The sugar-free version has less energy but is above average for a sugar-free energy drink. Red Bull Sugar Free has no fat, 3 grams of carbs and only 10 calories. The main reasons why Red Bull is in third place is because it has less B-vitamins and did not taste as good as GURU and Xyience. Red Bull Sugar Free also contains synthetic vitamins and artificial sweetener. Red Bull is available at many convenience stores nationwide.
  4. Verve Drink
Verve: Verve is the fourth healthiest because it is low in calories and is loaded with vitamins, such as vitamin A, C, D, E and B-vitamins. If only its vitamins were not synthetic, it would of been in first or second place. The sugar-free version has only 4 calories which is great for weight management, but bad for health because it contains artificial sweetener. Verve has a unique flavor unlike any energy drinks I reviewed and is one of the strongest low calorie energy drinks on the market. The flavor of Verve is hard to describe. It is like a mixture of citrus, tangerine, mangosteen and tropical fruit juice. The brownish-orange energy juice is carbonated for extra freshness and has a bitter tea aftertaste. Verve energy drinks are not available at public stores, you can only buy them online or from independent distributors.
  5. XS Energy Drinks
    XS Energy Drink:
Deciding between XS and Verve for last place was hard because they both are low in calories and carb, loaded with vitamins and tasted good. The reason XS is in last place is because XS lacks vitamin A, C, D and E and is incredibly high in synthetic vitamin B12. Like Verve many of XS’s vitamins are synthetic too. As of this writing, there are 11 different flavors of XS energy drink and all of them are sugar free except for the new XS Gold. Out of the 11 flavors, 3 of them are available without caffeine which are Cranberry Grape Blast, Tropical Blast and Root Beer Blast. Most of XS energy drinks have no carbs, very little calories and are loaded with synthetic B-vitamins. All the flavors of XS contain sucralose, an artificial sweetener known to have harmful side effects. XS energy drinks are only available online or through independent distributors.
