Spleen & Pancreas Meridians Energy Testing Procedure
Testing how your energy flows through your spleen and pancreas meridian (energy pathway) is a good way to tell how healthy you are physically and mentally. The spleen plays an important role for the immune system because it filters bacteria, viruses and other debris out of the bloodstream. This is where the destruction and recycling of old red-blood cells occur. The pancreas is needed to produce chemicals for neutralizing stomach acids, it also monitor glucose (blood sugar) and insulin levels in the body. Both of the organs are involved in the metabolism and mood process.
The spleen and pancreas share the same meridian and are very sensitive to stress and food. This is why the spleen-pancreas energy test is popular for detecting the overall health of the body’s mental and physical state, and how the body will respond to food.
The spleen-pancreas energy test involves two participants, the practitioner and the patient. Before applying this technique, avoid bias thoughts and try not to guess. Clear your mind as much as possible because your subtle energies are responsive to your thoughts. Make sure both of you are not dehydrated because dehydration interferes with the flow of your body’s energy. The result may differ if the person being tested has some kind of arm injury.
Spleen-Pancreas Energy Test Procedure
- Both take deep breaths, relax and clear your minds.
- The patient: Stand tall with your arms relaxed by your side. Your palms need to be facing behind you instead of your legs. Your arms should be slightly relaxed and outer thumbs should be touching the side of your legs with fingers pointing straight down.
- The practitioner: Stand behind the patient, when the patient is ready, slip your right hand between the patient’s left wrist and left leg. Tell your patient to hold their left arm firm and straight.
- Slowly pull on the patient’s left arm by their wrist, stop every few seconds to see the results. The patient’s arm will either feel locked in place or will pull away easily.
- Do the same for the right arm.
If the patient’s arms feel locked in place or jerks back, their spleen meridian is flowing strong and freely. If the patient’s arms don’t resist your pulling, their spleen meridian may be weak. You can strenthen their spleen meridian by tapping or massaging the 2 spleen points which is located about 11/2 to 2 inches below the left and right nipples. After tapping and massaging the 2 spleen points, repeat step 1 through 4.
