Enviga Sparkling Green Tea is manufactured by Coca Cola and is designed to stimulate your mind by boosting your energy level. The drink is more of a diet drink than an energy drink and is carbonated for more refreshment. On the back of the can, Enviga claimed that by drinking 3 cans of their Sparkling Green Tea per day, a healthy normal weight individual (18-35 years of age) can increase calorie burning by 60-100 calories.
I bought Enviga Sparkling Green Tea at a local Festival Foods while in Western Wisconsin for the retail price of $1.29, this drink may cost more at gas stations. The most noticeable taste in the Green Tea flavor is green tea (not surprising), the energy juice also has a sweet-tea flavor follow by a slightly bitter aftertaste. Compared to a normal green tea drink, Enviga Green Tea is actually not too bad.
Since this drink is more of a diet drink, most of its energy is from caffeine which is not the greatest but did a decent job of waking me up. The nice things about this drink is the 90 milligrams of Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG - one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants) and 200 milligrams of calcium. The bad things about this drink is that it drained my energy afterwards, did a bad job hydrating me and didn’t do much to boost my total energy level.
Enviga Green Tea is a supplement drink that I wouldn’t mind drinking again because it did a decent job waking me up and I didn’t experienced that weird-jittery feeling from too much sugar and caffeine. I recommend this drink to anyone who likes the taste of green tea, wants to keep the weight off and don’t mind the extra 100 milligrams of caffeine.
