Bigger, better, faster and stronger is what Rockstar claims about the sugar free version of their original energy drink. The sugar free version comes in a 16 fl. oz. white aluminum can and is filled with 473 milliliters (ml) of yellow energy juice. The juice is carbonated and tasted like sweet-citrus with a strange herbal aftertaste. The aftertaste reminded me of herbal candy and is more noticeable when the energy juice is warm. I recommend drinking this energy drink cold to reduce the aftertaste and cotton candy sweetness.

In the back of the can Rockstar wrote,

Bigger. Better. Faster. Stronger. The world’s most powerful energy drink is now available Sugar Free!

Well, they may be right in certain areas but I’m not too sure about the better, faster, stronger and most powerful part. I usually don’t like to drink energy drinks on an empty stomach because the ingredients in most energy drinks tend to give me minor stomachaches. Without thinking too much about the side effects, I decided to drink it anyways since I was tired and needed a quick boost of energy. After drinking the can halfway, I couldn’t drink it anymore because the energy juice was getting too sweet and there was no signs of any type of energy rush (even on an empty stomach). I did feel more awake from the caffeine rush but that was about it and the rush didn’t last long.

Rockstar Sugar Free is the kind of energy drinks I will stay away from, its energy juice is too sweet and lacks one of the most important features that makes an energy drink stands out from its competitors. I advised not to drink this energy drink on an empty stomach because its energy juice gave me minor stomachaches. The nice things about Rockstar Sugar Free is that it is low in calories, has no sugar and carbs, and is load with B-vitamins. If you are on a diet and don’t mind the sweet taste, then this energy drink may be the one you been searching for.
