Bigger, better, faster and stronger is what Rockstar claims about the sugar free version of its original energy drink. The sugar free version comes in a 16 fl. oz. white aluminum can and is filled with 473 milliliters (mL) of yellow energy juice. Its juice is carbonated and tasted like sweet-citrus with a strange herbal aftertaste. Its aftertaste reminded me of herbal candy and was more noticeable when its energy juice was warm. I recommend drinking this energy drink cold to reduce the aftertaste and cotton candy sweetness.
On the back of the can Rockstar wrote,
Bigger. Better. Faster. Stronger. The world’s most powerful energy drink is now available Sugar Free!
Well, they may be right in certain areas but I’m not too sure about the better, faster, stronger and most powerful part. I usually do not like to drink energy drinks on an empty stomach because the ingredients in most energy drinks tend to give me minor stomachaches. Without thinking too much about the side effects, I decided to drink it anyways since I was tired and needed a quick boost of energy. After drinking the can halfway, I could not drink it anymore because the energy juice was getting too sweet and there was no signs of any type of energy rush. I did felt more awake from the caffeine rush but the rush did not last long.
Rockstar Sugar Free is the kind of energy drinks I will stay away from, because its energy juice is too sweet and it lacks one of the most important features that makes an energy drink stands out from its competitors. I advised not to drink this energy drink on an empty stomach because its energy juice gave me minor stomachaches. The nice things about Rockstar Sugar Free is that it is low in calories, has no sugar and carbs, and is load with B-vitamins. The bad things about it is that its vitamins are synthetic and it is full of empty calories. One of the reasons why it is low in calories is because it contains an artificial sweetener called sucralose, a strong toxin. If you are worried about your health, stay away from this energy drink or any other sugar free drinks.

you sir, are an energy drink connoisseur!
i agree, this one has to be super-chilled. i am actually drinking one as i write this and it’s not very cold. it’s not the best tasting energy drink, but i got used to the flavor. i do like that it has almost no calories.
looking at the nutrition facts, i noticed this drink has more energy supplements than any other energy drink i’ve seen! and some good stuff too, like milk thistle extract and l-carnitine. i can’t remember why, but that stuff is important for weightlifters like me.
it might take different strokes of energy to move different people, cause this one gets me movin’. then again, i haven’t had an energy drink yet that hasn’t done anything to me.
keep up the energy drink reviews!
I love sugar free rock stars! The colder the better too! Instead of coffee I drink one in the am, it gives me a good buzz for a couple of hours. I drink another for lunch and come down around 3. I wish I thought ahead and buy 3 for the work day. It’s better thxm coffee because coffee with creamer, mochas, frapuccinos and so on have boat loads of calories. I love sugar free rock stars!
I can’t live without sugar free rockstars! I find the taste amazing. I have on average two a day maybe more. They cost more than u say but I believe it’s worth it. Yes cold is better but warm is still fine with me. I don’t think u understand the reason for how sweet it is. When u never eat any sugar like me u crave sugar and a lot of it. Sugar free rockstars give me just the right amount of sweetness. They make me pee a lot but I don’t think they make me gain at all. I get a lot of energy from them. They are by far the best energy drink. Sugarfree redbulls are gross! Sugarfree rockstars are my life!
I’d have to say I agree with the other comments I’d chose the Rockstar Zero Carb as my first choice but since it is hard to find anyone that still carries them the Sugar Free would be my second choice. Hope there is a review on the Zero Carb later on the list here.
