Amp Energy Overdrive - Review

Amp Energy Overdrive - Retail Price: about $1.50 per can (16 fl. oz.)
Available Size: 16 fl. oz.
Taste: 7/10
Price: 10/10
Energy Level: 7/10
Where To Buy - Amp energy drinks are available at certain convenience stores nation wide (United States), I bought mine at the local Cub Foods store which was on sale for $1.50. Amp energy drink cost about $2.29 at gas stations.
Out of the three Amp energy drinks I reviewed, this one is my favorite because its taste and energy rush is more superior than the other Amp energy drinks. Amp Overdrive comes in a 16 fl. oz. aluminum can that is filled with 473 milliliters of cherry-red carbonated energy juice. The most noticeable taste is cherry fruit punch with a light-stale aftertaste. The staleness is more noticeable when the energy juice is cold. At room temperature, the staleness disappears and is replace with a light sour cranberry flavor.
The energy rush from Amp Overdrive is competitive and kicked in within five minutes. The energy rush was noticeable for up to two hours. There was no noticeable side effects except for the minor caffeine rush that kept my head buzzing for about an hour.
Amp Energy Overdrive is an energy drink I would not mind drinking again. The only thing that I did not like about this energy drink is the stale aftertaste and the energy juice was a little sweet for my taste. I recommend Amp Overdrive to anyone who wants a sweet-cherry carbonated drink that can boost their energy quickly without any major side effects.

This is by far my favorite of all of the amp energy drinks. I wish they sold this flavor in four packs. The only four pack I’ve found for sale is the regular lemon-lime flavor. I’ve tried all of the flavors and this one kicks in the fastest and seems to last quite a while compared to the others. Plus, it tastes like Mountain Dew’s code red. It is a pleasant retreat from the more popular mixed berry flavors that so many energy drinks base their taste on.

I love this drink! I always buy the 4 pack at work, since it’s $6.50. =D
