Modjo dietary supplement is distributed by an international company called Cellutions LLC., the United States branch of this company is located in Sunrise, Florida. Modjo is designed to increase energy, alertness and minimize the symptoms of a hangover so you can work hard, play hard and party hard.
Right now there are two package of Modjo, one comes in a sleek tin container and the other one comes in a red pouch. The container has a total of four tablets and the pouch has a total of 6 tablets. The tablets are covered with a thin red coating and has a very light-brown interior color. The tablets are bigger than what I expected, about twice the size of a regular medicine tablet.
The best thing about this energy supplement is its energy level which is powered by antioxidants, energy herbs, vitamins and caffeine. Modjo’s energy rush is similar to the energy rush from an intense energy drink and kicks in within 10 to 20 minutes. The first thing I noticed after taken the tablet is the energy head-buzz which woke me right up. The energy peaked for about an hour and was noticeable for two more hours. The side effects from this energy supplement is very minor, I only experienced minor headaches when taken the full serving (2 tablets). The minor headaches didn’t bother me much and only lasted for about 30 minutes. I was surprised that the supplement didn’t give me stomachaches when I took it on an empty stomach the next morning. Usually dietary supplements give me minor stomachaches when I take them on an empty stomach.
The worst thing about this energy supplement is its taste which didn’t surprised me because most dietary supplements don’t taste like chocolate candy bars. The supplement had a sweet powdery taste followed by a very light soapy aftertaste. The taste is more noticeable when chewed, I recommend swallowing the tablets whole to avoid the unpleasant taste.
I haven’t test this energy supplement with alcohol to see if it does minimize hangover symptoms. This supplement may help minimize hangover symptoms by replenishing the body with vitamins and antioxidants but the effects is probably minimal. There are many reasons why people get hangovers, the process can be very complex. To keep it simple, the four main reasons why people get hangovers are dehydration, free radical build-up, excessive levels of ethanol (alcohol), loss of salt and loss of glucose. The headaches that people feel from a hangover is from dehydration and the nausea feeling is from the ethanol, free radical, and the loss of salt and glucose. Usually eating and drinking water helps but if you feel nausea, you may end up puking the food back out. The best way to prevent a hangover is to not drink alcohol at all or drink alcohol in moderate levels.
Modjo is an energy supplement that is great for keeping you up during boring classes, long road trips, late night homework, etc. It is convenient to carry around and is great for replacing coffee and energy drinks. The two things that bother me about this supplement is the taste and the tablet size. Other then that, its energy level is one of the best.
If anyone tested this supplement before, with or without alcohol feel free to leave a comment below.
