GURU Lite is the tone down version of the original GURU energy drink and is lightly carbonated for extra freshness. This flavor has only 10 calories and 2 grams of sugar which is great for people who want to stay in shape. The white aluminum can is filled with 250 milliliters of citrus flavored energy juice. The citrus juice is sweetened with cane juice and luo han juice concentrates, which give the energy juice a strange sweet flavor. Compared to the original GURU, the lite version didn’t taste as good. Its strange sweet flavor made it unpleasant for me to drink.
GURU Lite lacked one of the most important feature of an energy supplement drink, which was energy. The lack of energy from GURU Lite didn’t surprise me because most sugar free energy drinks don’t kick in as hard as their original. After drinking GURU Lite, I felt an increased of energy in my head, which woke me up slightly and lasted for about half an hour. GURU Lite is powered by guarana seed extract, echinacea flower extract, panax ginseng root extract, ginkgo biloba leaf extract and 97 milligrams of caffeine. GURU Lite is not good for keeping you up all night but is good for a quick boost of energy.
