Food plays a big role in your life because you need it to survive. In addition, it affects the shape of your body and helps you grow into an adult. Unfortunately, not all foods are good for you. These types of food are known as junk food. They are foods that are high in calories, low in nutrients and usually contain harmful synthetic chemicals.

Why junk food is bad for you

Most junk foods are processed food; thus, they are no longer in their natural state. In addition, they are stripped of certain essential nutrients. Junk foods such as candy, chips, cakes, candy bar, chewing gum and ice cream are usually added with chemical preservatives and synthetic vitamins. The purpose of this is to prolong their shelf life, which can help junk food manufacturers and stores reduce costs.

The dangers in junk food

Some of the most dangerous ingredients found in junk food are genetically modified ingredients (GM ingredients). Independent studies have linked genetically modified food to birth defects, organ failure, infertility and cancer. Because most junk foods do not have sufficient levels of essential vitamins and minerals, they do a poor job of increasing your long term energy, boosting your immunity, and assisting cell growth and development. They are also very bad for your health due to the fact that they contain high levels of refined sugar, which is a cancer causing toxin. These are just a few examples of the dangers in junk food and why it is bad for you.

Junk food and health problems

Many of us choose junk food over organic food because it saves us money, but we do not realize how much money we may lose in the long run. Consuming small amounts of junk food is not a big hazard to our health, but when we consume it on a regular basis, junk food can lead to major health problems later on in life. Junk food is usually high in calories. Our bodies do not like to waste energy; therefore, the excessive calories are usually stored as fat, causing weight gain. Eating junk food for long periods of time can lead to obesity, vitamin deficiencies, heart disease and other health problems. These health problems can lead to very expensive medical bills.

What junk food does to your body

The harmful synthetic chemicals in junk food affects your body by interfering with the metabolism process and causing chemical imbalances in your body. These problems often lead to weight gain, fatigue, acidosis and other health problems. Furthermore, the refined sugar in junk food is one of cancer’s favorite food. When you eat too much junk food, your blood becomes acidic and saturated with refined sugar. This creates an environment for cancer, harmful microorganisms and parasites to thrive in.

If we can see how junk food affects our internal body structures, we would change our eating habits in a heartbeat. Since we cannot see how junk food affects our bodies, we need to listen to our bodies and watch for signs of health problems, so we do not destroy our health. Your physical health relies heavily on the types of food you eat. Avoid eating junk food on a regular basis so your health will not prematurely deteriorate.

    Just read the ingredients. This shit is horrible for you! You wonder why people have health problems. What you put in your body is going to affect how it works, it’s that simple. It’s amazing how much people have become slaves to junk food. That’s why it’s called junk food. Hell, it’s your body, if you want to destroy it go right ahead. But I say these things because I’ve had a family member recently pass away well before their time from advanced colon cancer because they ate badly and drank heavily.
