Orange Smoothie Recipes
Orange is well known for its cancer fighting compounds and high vitamin C levels. One orange contains more than 90 percent of the vitamin C that your body needs for the day. Vitamin C is well known for aiding the immune system and reducing cell damage from free radicals. Orange is also a good source of fiber which is needed for cleansing the body of toxins and for energy endurance.
Quick tips: for a thinner smoothie use non-frozen fruits, for a thicker smoothie use more frozen fruits.
Orange Energy Smoothie Recipe 1
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (chilled)
- 1/4 cup fresh pineapple juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger root (peeled, grated)
- 3/4 cup banana (about 1/2 a banana) (peeled, sliced and frozen)
- Add ice cubes if needed
- Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!
