Applied Kinesiology: Balance Your Energy Field

Applied kinesiology is similar to chiropractic but instead of focusing on treating mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, it evaluates the musculoskeletal system by measuring the levels of energy in muscles. Applied kinesiology is also known as muscle testing which was invented by George J. Goodheart in the early 1960’s. This alternative medical practice is popular among chiropractors, physicians, physical therapists, message therapists and energy healers. The procedure is done by applying a force to the targeted muscle of the patient. A smooth response means that the muscle is healthy and strong, and a rough response means that the muscle is weak. Applied kinesiology is more of a philosophy alternative medicine rather than scientific because it uses the philosophy of energy fields, meridians and subtle energy to treat muscle disorders, and even organ disorders. However, this philosophy may become scientific some day due to recent improvements of energy testing equipments.

Applied kinesiology is also use for testing how a patient’s muscle response to foods and chemicals. By doing these energy tests, kinesiologists can tell if a food is healthy or unhealthy for their patients. Food plays a big role when it comes to alternative medicine. Eating the wrong food can disrupt the flow of energy in your energy field and cause certain health problems. According to kinesiologist, keeping your energy balanced is important for short-term and long-term health, especially for enhancing strength, energy and mental stress.
