Nutrilite energy bars are designed to give your energy endurance by using the right balance of protein and carbohydrates. Carbohydrate is the body’s main source of fuel and protein helps slow down the digesting process which helps regulate blood sugar levels. Protein is also needed for tissue growth and repair. Nutrilite Chocolate Nut Roll had a very rich soothing chocolate taste. The texture of the chocolate reminded me of the high class premium chocolate candy bar that are expensive to buy. The interior of the chocolate energy bar is filled with nut rolls which added a nice crunchy texture to the energy bar. The energy level from this energy bar was competitive, it doesn’t compare to a whole meal but will give you a quick boost of energy between meals.

The pros

  • High levels of vitamins C.
  • Good source of Protein.
  • Contains Nutrilite C-Lenium Blend which helps protect the body from harmful free radicals during long workouts.

The cons

  • Contains 22 percent of the daily value of saturated fat. Most chocolate bars contain higher levels of saturated fat because of how chocolate is made. Saturated fat has been known to cause heart disease when consumed too much of it.
  • Low in dietary fiber, fiber has many health benefits, such as regulating glucose level and cleansing the body of toxins.
  • A little on the expensive side.
