Healthy Smoothie Recipes
These three healthy smoothie are full of fruits and vegetables, which are great sources of essential vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals are important for health because they are needed for normal cell functions and removal of toxins. The three smoothies below are also low in calories to help manage weight and are good sources of fiber.
Quick tips: for a thinner smoothie use non-frozen fruits/vegetables, for a thicker smoothie use more frozen fruits/vegetables. Organic fruits and vegetables preferred.
Healthy Smoothie Recipe 1
- 1 cup fresh mango (diced)
- 1 large banana (peeled, sliced, frozen)
- 1 cup Gatorade Orange or Gatorade of your choice
- 1/2 cup unsweetened raspberries (frozen)
- Add ice cubes if needed
- Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!
Healthy Smoothie Recipe 2
- 1/2 cup carrot juice (chilled)
- 1 cup canned tomatoes with juice (diced, chilled)
- 1/2 cup soft silken tofu
- Half red bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 5 teaspoons orange juice concentrate (frozen)
- 1/2 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoned salt or seasoned salt of your choice
- Add ice cubes if needed
- Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!
Healthy Smoothie Recipe 3
- 1/2 cup light vanilla soy milk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 large banana (sliced, frozen)
- 6 teaspoon of pineapple juice concentrate (frozen)
- Add ice cubes if needed
- Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!
