Baby Smoothie – Food Recipes


The two fruit smoothies below are loaded with fruits and essential nutrients to boost your baby’s energy and health. The two smoothies are designed for babies that are 6 months or older; at this age is when babies can start eating small pieces of food. If your baby is less than 6 months old, please do not feed him/her semi-solid food. Some babies may be allergic to certain foods, please watch your baby carefully when introducing your baby to new foods.

Baby Energy Smoothie Recipe 1 (6 months or older)

  • 1/2 cup breast milk or formula milk
  • 1/2 small banana (peeled, sliced)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/3 cup fresh strawberries (quartered)
  • 1/4 cup dry rice baby cereal (optional)
  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!

Baby Energy Smoothie Recipe 2 (6 months or older)

  • 1/2 cup fresh peaches (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
  • 6 teaspoons apple juice concentrate (frozen)
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaxseed oil
  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, serve immediately for best taste!

For best results, use organic fruits instead of conventional fruits because they usually do not contain pesticides, genetically modified ingredients and other harmful synthetic chemicals.

    In regards to the first recipe, Strawberries are highly allergenic and are not recommended for babies under 1 year in age. I would think you would check your facts before including them in a recipe.

      In regards to your comment about strawberries, they are actually found in many baby foods. Also, depending on who your pediatrician is and who you talk to they are fine to eat before 1 year of age.

      One of the main causes of allergies related to strawberries is not caused only by strawberries, but is also caused by the harmful chemicals that are put into processed food. Allergy is an autoimmune disorder. If you are experiencing allergies from eating strawberries, the root cause is not because of the strawberries.       The main causes of allergies is a immune system that is not working properly. One of the causes of this is an unhealthy lifestyle. Allergies were almost unheard of in the early 1900s because people back then grew their own food free of synthetic chemicals. Nowadays, the food we buy at conventional grocery stores are contaminated with dozens of harmful chemicals, such as pesticides. To make matter worse, many of them have genetically modified ingredients. Many of these chemicals are destructive to our immune systems which is why autoimmune disorders are on the rise.

      Allergies were a rare thing a century ago. If you or your kids have allergies, it is a sign that your genes and immune system are not working properly. Living a healthy life style and learning how to bring your genes back into balance would be wise.
