Fatty food is something that we tend to have a strong craving for, especially in the United States. Most fatty foods can cause chronic health problems in the long run. However, there are a few fats that are actually good for us. One of them is called essential fatty acids (EFAs). EFAs are important for brain memory and performance, repairing cell membranes, and are beneficial for the cardiovascular, immune, reproductive and nervous systems. Other examples of high quality fat are fats from animals grown on pasture farms and fats from organic plant-based food.
