The Berry flavor is the newest lineup of Crunk energy drink. Crunk Berry is filled with a berry-red energy juice made of acai and grape juice concentrate, ashwaganda, horny goat weed and energy blends. The most noticeable flavors are acai and grape juice. Crunk Berry also had a light-sour taste. To reduce the sour taste drink it cold. One of the things I liked about this flavor was that it had no bad aftertaste.

Crunk Berry tasted great but its energy was weaker than the original Crunk. For some reasons, it took a while for the energy to kicked in. I even drank this energy drink on an empty stomach. After about 30 minutes, I finally felt its energy effects which buzzed my head with energy. This woke me up for about an hour. I was surprised its energy rush didn’t gave me any bad side effects. Although, I did experienced light headaches and stomachaches. The second time I drank Crunk Berry, its energy rush was better and lasted longer.

The pros

  • No major side effects
  • No bad aftertaste
  • Great mixture of acai and grape juice
  • Competitive price

The cons

  • Energy is not as good as the original
  • Some of its vitamins are synthetic
  • Has minor side effects such as increase of heart and breathing rate
  • People who have sensitive stomach may experience minor stomachaches

I am actually trying to break my energy drink habit for next year because of the high levels of sugar and synthetic sweetners involved. Have you ever tried the spot on energy patch (www.spotonenergy.com)? It looks like a good alternative to me but is a fairly new product so I can’t find reviews. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I haven’t try the energy patches. From looking through their Website and reading about the patches, I don’t think it is something you should use on a regular basis. First of all, some of the vitamins are synthetic. Second, I don’t see how caffeine and vitamins can be absorbed through the skin effectively. If the vitamins are fat-soluble, than there is a better chance they can be absorbed through the skin. Third, the absorption of vitamins and minerals is more complex than people may think. Some vitamins and minerals require the reaction with digestive enzymes for usage. In conclusion, I recommend staying away from these patches. If you want to try them out, don’t use them on a regular basis. Some of the most important ingredients for energy are, complex carbs, B-vitamins and essential nutrients. Many of these products lack them.

After reading through this, I think that it’s important to realize that any natural-based, homeopathic solution to common ailments like minor fatigue or sleeplessness is essential to being more productive during the course of a typical day. May it be this energy drink, red energy patches, or a combination of both: The main focus is being alert and more productive during the course of the typical work day! This can help and I’m glad you introduced us to it!
