Color Therapy: Energy Healing
Image provided by Ralph Mahon
Many people see color as a measurement of hue, saturation and brightness, but color is actually made of electromagnetic energy, also known as light. Each color has its own wavelength and vibrates at its own frequency. Color is the only visible energy waves that we can see in the electromagnetic spectrum. The invisible waves are: radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, x-rays and gamma rays. Energy healers have been using color therapy (chromotherapy) to heal their patients for thousands of years. They believed that colors can be used to relieve stress, ease pain and even cure diseases. Color is also believed to enhance the energy in chakras and stimulate certain organs of the body. Below is a list of each color and its properties. Colors are listed from high energy to low energy.

When we break atoms down beyond the atomic level, they are made of nothing but condensed energy. Our bodies are are also made of energy because they are made of atoms. To be more accurate, our bodies are projections of energy. By understanding this, it makes sense to heal our bodies with energy healing techniques, such as color therapy.
