Why is it so hard to find information on nutrition without political propaganda? It makes the validity of the information questionable.

Proteins from plant-based food, including hemp, are all great sources of protein. When buying hemp protein products, make sure it is as close to its natural state as possible. There are a lot of hemp protein products out there that are processed; therefore, most of their nutrients are lost. These nutrients are necessary for helping the body to effectively utilize protein.

Yes, I agree with you about the government supporting carbohydrates. The USDA, like many similar agencies, are influenced by lobbyists. The USDA may not be the one promoting meat-based diet but its laws are made mostly to satisfy its sponsors (lobbyists) and partially the public. The world of business is mostly about money. If you have a lot of money, you have a lot of power. You can control a whole country if you are rich enough. This is why it is hard to trust these agencies that are influenced by lobbyists.

I agree with you that protein by itself doesn't contain saturated fat and cholesterol. What I meant to say was that the protein in meat is accompanied by saturated fat and cholesterol. Kidney failure and diabetes are caused by many things. The main one is unhealthy diets. In fact, people all over the world are reversing diabetes by adopting a 100 percent "raw" plant-based diet.

Nitrogenous residues may not be harmful in small quantities but it is a different story when consumed in large quantities. Even pure water is harmful in large quantities.

When it comes down to the health benefits, raw plant-based food far exceeds meat-based food. Try getting most of your calories from raw plant-based food and you will notice a big change in your strength, energy and health.

The US government has been pro carbohydrates, not pro protein. Just look at the food pyramid, it recommends grains as your primary food source, which is high in carbohydrates. It does not make any sense for you to say that the USDA is trying to promote a high protein diet, because they are not. Only RECENTLY has there been a movement by only a few people that promote high protein/low carb diets, and most people are not following a high protein diet, especially obese people.

You also stated that animal protein is full of saturated fat and cholesterol. That doesn't even make sense... protein is protein, fat is fat, and cholesterol is cholesterol. Protein of any kind does not contain fat or cholesterol. Additionally, protein is broken down in to amino acids, which is necessary for a lot of things. Amino acids can indeed turn in to fat, but they need carbohydrates to do that. Not all amino acids are used for energy.

Protein does contain nitrogen, but the excess nitrogen is broken down in to urea(non-toxic) by the liver, and then processed by the kidneys. Diabetes is the #1 cause of kidney failure, which is caused by high blood glucose levels, which is caused by carbohydrates, NOT protein.
