		<description>Diabetics should eat a lot of organic raw plant-based food. The trick is to eat it raw as much as possible because cooking it will destroy a good portion of its nutrients. Also eat food that is high in fiber. Avoid eating junk food, fast food and all processed food as much as possible, especially genetically modified food.

In this documentary, Gabriel Cousens (M.D.), author of There is a Cure for Diabetes, took 6 diabetics to Patagonia, Arizona for a raw food diet challenge. They had to eat nothing but raw organic plant-based food (mostly uncooked) for thirty days. Within 14 days, most of them were already off of their insulin and medication. At the end of the 30 days, all but one were insulin free. Below is a short trailer about this documentary.
