Eating food low in digestive enzymes will make it harder for your body to break it down to usable nutrients. Food low in digestive enzymes also takes more energy to digest. Because it is hard for the body to digest it, a good amount of the food’s nutrients may not get absorb properly. The best sources of digestive enzymes are from fruits and vegetables.

Most of the time, digestive problems is caused by a lack of stomach acid. For best results, add freshly squeezed lemon juice in a cup of warm-hot water.
- Smaller meals: Large meal are hard to digest which can increase the chance of heartburn. Eat 4 to 5 smaller meals per day instead of 3 big meals will reduce stomach problems.
- High fiber food: When fiber is in the body it becomes bulk-like, this feature of fiber helps pushes waste through the body. Fiber also binds to cholesterol which prevents the body from absorbing it. Fiber protects the large intestine from toxins and prevents constipation.
