Herbal Hair Tonic

Every year millions of people suffer some kind of hair disorder. Unfortunately, many of the product that they buy to treat their hair does little to cure their disorder. Shampoo is one of the most popular products to treat hair but many of them contain chemicals that are harmful. Unlike shampoo, hair tonic contains little or no harmful chemicals. The hair tonics below are great for treating hair disorder because it attacks the problem at the root. It does this by nourishing the hair with natural chemicals and balancing its energy.
Hair Tonics:
- Mugwort Flowers: Known for strengthening hair. To use the herb, dry the flowers and steep in hot water. Use it to rinse your hair.
- Chokecherry: Known for strengthening and encouraging hair growth. To use the herb, boil its bark in water, let it cool down and use it to wash your hair.
- Scouring Rush: Used for eliminating fleas and mites. Boiled the fern stalks in water, let it cool down and wash your hair with it.
- Sage: Popular for helping hair growth. Steep sage leaves in hot water and rinse your hair with it.
- Soapwort Root: Popular for treating dandruff and itchy scalp. To use the root, grind it into a powder form and mix it with water so it becomes paste-like. Don’t make it too thick, otherwise it may be hard to wash off.
- Horsetail: Known for keeping hair shiny, sleek and strong. Steep the herb in hot water and use it to rinse your hair.
- Columbine Flowers: Popular for strengthening hair. Steep the flowers in hot water and rinse your hair with it.
