Warts are caused by a group of virus called human papilloma viruses (HPV). There are more than 100 types of HPV. According to womenshealth.gov, in the United States alone, there are about 20 million Americans with HPV. Warts usually appear on the face, hands, and feet, but can also appear anywhere on the body. Warts are usually painless but there are some that may cause cancer. According to researchers, over 90 percent of cervical cancers are related to HPV, especially HPV type 16 and 18. Warts can vary in shapes and sizes. Body warts can be pointy or flat; their colors are usually dark, white, grey or skin-tone in color. Genital warts are usually red or pink, and pointy or tall. Women who have genital warts should have regular PAP smear to check for cervical cancer.
Warts causes:
- Warts is caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). Warts can be transmitted from an infected person to another person by physical contact or sexual activities. Warts that appeared on the body are not as contagious as genital warts. People who have a healthy immune system usually don’t have problems with warts. Therefore, a suppressed immune system is common in people with wart problems.
Wart remedies:
- Wild Lettuce (also known as lactuca canadensis): This herb is well known in the herbal community for removing warts. To use the herb, squeeze its juice from the stalk and apply to the infected area.
- Vitamin B9 (also known as folate or folic acid): May help reduce the risk of cervical dysplasia and cervical cancer. Nutritionists recommend taking 1 to 10 milligrams of B9 supplement daily. If you are worried about cervical dysplasia, avoid smoking or stop smoking. Studies have shown that people who smoke have a greater risk of developing cervical dysplasia.
- Moducare Sterols and Sterolins: Studies shown that sterols and sterolins can increase the immune system by enhancing NK, white and T-helper cell activities. This may help prevent warts from recurring. Sterols and sterolins can also control cortisol activities. Nutritionists recommend taking two or three capsules per day.
- Wobenzym: A supplement that contains essential enzymes for assisting chemical reactions in the body. Wobenzym may help disable viruses. Nutritionists recommend taking about 4 tablets per day.
- Oregano Oil: Known for treating viral infections because of its antiviral properties. Herbalists recommend adding about 3 drops of oregano oil to warm water. Apply twice daily on body warts.
- Miracle Mineral Supplement (MMS): The secret ingredient in MMS is chlorine dioxide. Note: Chlorine dioxide is not the same as chlorine. When chlorine dioxide comes in contact with certain microorganisms in the body, it destroys them by exploding the walls of microorganisms. This makes it really effective at destroying them because microorganisms can’t become resistant to it. According to Jim Humble, the founder of MMS, the chlorine dioxide in MMS can kill pathogen, bacteria, virus, fungus and parasites. Visit this page for more information on MMS.
