Amphetamine and Parkinson’s Disease
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain. This brain degenerative disease causes the brain to produce less dopamine. A lack of dopamine causes communication problem between cells because dopamine is used by cells to transport electrical signals. Parkinson’s disease usually becomes noticeable when people reached the age of 40. It affects about 1 in every 300 people. Although, because of the increase of environmental and food toxins, this number may be worst in the near future. If you experience slight tremor in your hands while at rest, this may be one of the early signs of Parkinson’s disease. Researchers recommend avoiding artificial sweetener, amphetamine, most vaccines and heavy metals. They also recommend eating a healthier diet and chelation therapy.
The drug amphetamine is classified as an excitotoxins by private drug researchers. They suggested that amphetamine stimulates certain nerve cells to death, which is why they believed it is a major contributor to Parkinson’s disease. The way amphetamine stimulates nerve cells cause them to deplete their ATP and phocreatinine faster. Excitotoxins such as amphetamine, MSG and aspartame (an artificial sweetener), destroy nerve cells similar to how power surges destroy electrical devices but just not as intense. Private drug researchers found that amphetamine can cause destruction to a group of neurons that is a part of the nigrostriatal system. The nigrostriatal system is the same system that is destroyed in Parkinson’s disease. On the other hand, public drug researchers suggested that amphetamine may help treat Parkinson’s disease. One of the things that concerns me about public drug researchers is that they are usually sponsored by the drug industry. Their studies may not be for the best interest of the public. Instead, they are usually done for the best interest of the drug company.
