What are neurotoxins? The English dictionary defines neurotoxins as “substances that interfere with the electrical activities of nerves, thus preventing them from functioning.”

How neurotoxins destroy nerve cells

Neurotoxins are substances that interact with nerve cells by overstimulating them to death or interrupting their communication process. This process is harmful to nerve cells, because it can fry them or interfere with their natural chemical process.

Studies have shown that neurotoxins can shorten the life span of nerve cells. These toxins have been linked to brain disorders and neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s Chorea and Parkinson’s.

The availability of neurotoxins has increased dramatically within the last few decades. Many of these neurotoxins are found in the food we eat and water we drink. Even worse, they are also found in baby food.

Neurotoxins in food

If you have a new born or kids, you may want to pay close attention to the ten neurotoxins listed below. Kids are the most vulnerable to neurotoxins, because their body is still developing. Most food products that contain neurotoxins have them listed on their ingredients list. Processed foods, such as chips and candy are often loaded with neurotoxins. If you find a food or drink that contains the neurotoxins listed below, you should avoid consuming it.

A list of ten neurotoxins to avoid

  1. Aspartame (also known as Equal, AminoSweet, NutraSweet, Spoonful): Very common in sugar-free food products, especially sugar-free gums and drinks. Most aspartame is made from the fecal matter of genetically modified bacteria. Studies have linked aspartame to diabetes, migraines, kidney failure, seizures, blindness, obesity, neurological disorders, mental illness and brain tumors.
  2. Monosodium glutamate (also known as sodium glutamate, MSG): Very common in chips, canned food, baby food and other junk food. Independent researchers believe that MSG plays an important role in neurodegenerative brain disease, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. The evidence supporting their claim is that MSG destroys neurons in cells, especially brain cells.
  3. Sucralose (also known as Splenda): An artificial sweetener that is very popular in sugar-free products, especially sugar-free drinks. Sucralose was accidentally discovered while doing research to create a new insecticide, which is why some researchers suggested that sucralose should be listed in the insecticide category. This neurotoxin is regarded as a chemical cousin to DDT. Sucralose is a chlorinated compound. When the body breaks this type of chlorinated compound, it releases toxic chemicals.
  4. Aluminum: This type of metal is common in drinking water, over-the-counter antacid and vaccine. Aluminum is hard for the body to absorb, but citrate or citric acid can dramatically increase its absorption. Vaccine is one of the major contributors to aluminum toxicity, because the aluminum is injected directly into the body.
  5. Mercury: This heavy metal is common in fish products, vaccine and amalgam fillings (also known as silver fillings). Mercury can be found in drinking water too. Mercury is one of the most toxic neurotoxins, because it easily destroys brain tissue. For an excellent short video showing how mercury destroys brain tissue, read this article titled How Mercury Destroys the Brain.
  6. Fluoride (sodium fluoride): This toxin is very common in drinking water and conventional toothpaste. Fluoride was used to kill rats before it was introduced into consumer products. The fluoride used for consumer products is a mixture of many hazardous chemicals. It is known as sodium fluoride, not to be confused with the natural calcium fluoride. This is why there are warning labels on fluoridated toothpaste. For proof that fluoride is a hazardous toxin, read this article.
  7. Hydrolyzed vegetable protein: This harmful food ingredient is very common in certain junk food. Hydrolyzed vegetable protein contains high concentrations of glutamate and aspartate. In high levels, glutamate and aspartate can stimulate nerve cells to death.
  8. Calcium caseinate: This toxin is popular in protein supplement, energy bar and junk food. It is harmful to the brain due to its neurotoxic properties.
  9. Sodium caseinate: This type of protein is common in dairy products and junk food. It has been linked to autism and gastrointestinal problems. Visit this site for more specific information about sodium caseinate and calcium caseinate.
  10. Yeast extract: A popular food ingredients in many processed food, such as canned food. It is toxic to the brain.

The most common neurotoxin

The most common neurotoxin that people consume on a regular basis is refined sugar or table sugar. Refined sugar may not be as toxic as aspartame, but it is toxic enough to cause significant harm to your body when you consume it on a regular basis.

When you eat a fruit, you are not just ingesting sugar and water, but also synergistic components, such as mineral activators, enzymes, co-vitamin helpers, and fiber. These components have specific roles to play for helping your body to safely and effectively metabolize nutrients.

Without these synergistic components to help your body metabolize sugar safely, certain elements of sugar are broken down into toxic chemicals. The main toxins that are released when your body metabolizes refined sugar are toxic metabolites. These metabolites are great for destroying the respiration process of cells.

If you are looking for a healthier alternative to refined sugar, organic stevia is a very popular alternative.

Just a quick correction. Vaccines, while a source of aluminum, are not injected directly into the bloodstream. They are administered either into the muscle or subcutaneous fatty tissue below the skin. Both locations allow for gradual absorption into the body.

    • LM says:

The article says it is injected into the BODY, not the bloodstream … so what are you correcting exactly ??? … Seems to me you’re a classical example of “selective attention” where you wanted to find something wrong with this article so bad, your brain tricked you into reading the wrong thing … or you’re just one of these people who has to display their “knowledge” at all costs … Besides, the fact that it is absorbed gradually is completely irrelevant … the point is that our body should not have to absorb it, period …

    • Kevin says:

Courney’s right, vaccines are an intramuscular injection. Somethings that needs to make this list. 1. Lead… lead is a powerful neurotoxin as well, and when it is combined with mercury (fillings/vaccines)it becomes synergistically more toxic. A lab study gave an amount of lead to 10 rats, until one rat experienced fatality. A similar amount of mercury was give to 10 rats, until 1 fatality was achieved. When an equal part of lead (enough to kill 1 rat) is combined with an equal part of mercury (enough to kill 1 rat)… ALL 10 test rats experienced fatality! SO, don’t be fooled by ‘safe amounts’ of exposure set by governments, no such thing, any amount no matter how small, will start killing tissue immediately. These ‘safe amounts’ are singular assumptions, and have never been validated in a synergistic effect composite matrix, only a small amount of research in this field is available. 2. Glyphosate (monsanto/bayer’s round-up), it blocks micro-nutrient uptake, results in fetal abortions, autism, and it compounds neortoxin damage from exposure because it impairs the body’s ability to untake nutrients essential for brain tissue repair. 3. Neonecotinoids, from bayer. This is a persistent neurotoxic substance that builds up in the environment, and in the human or insect body. This shit kills bees when their exposure hits a particular rate, which can occur in less than a day of bee activity in some cases: kills them dead… so how about humans, at what rate of exposure does neurological function debilitation begin to occur in the human population, that consumes corn grown from these seeds? Will it take 3 years, 5, before we start seeing humans collapsing… brain dead, with no medical explanation of cause? It builds up in soil and water like glyphosate, and the damage from exposure compounds over of years of continued use. I don’t eat corn anymore, or canola, or soy, all poisoned with these crap. hope you learned something… good luck and try your best for a healthy life, it’s worth it.

Author is a idiot and his article is neurotoxic. All substance can be toxic its depends of dose drink for example 30 green tea/ day you think then they dont be toxic ? Healthy vegetables most of them containe arsenic very toxic and are people dying? No. “Monosodium glutamate (also known as sodium glutamate, MSG): Very common in chips, canned food, baby food and other junk food. Independent researchers believe that MSG plays an important role in neurodegenerative brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. The evidence supporting their claim is that MSG destroys neurons in cells, especially brain cells.” Look one more times evry new studies claims there was no correlation. Aspartame. One person wrote books and say aspartame is toxic dont do even one research and yet milions people now claims that dey kills. If you give me conlusive evidence that im wrong i appologize you.

    • PL Chang says:

Yes, all substance can be toxic, even water, but you aren’t seeing the big picture. The evidence showing that these 10 neurotoxins is toxic can be found in Internet. Since you didn’t ask nicely, I will let you do your own research to find it. When you want someone to do you something, ask nicely and it will motivate them to want to do it more. Since I’m a nice person, I will give you proof for one of them.

If your objective was to spread distress through erroneous statements. Good job.

P.S. A quick google search on “neurotoxins” will quickly provide you with enough information to find well documented, sourced, fact based journal articles.

        Don’t read this shit.

        • Makwah says:

Ahhh, Dr. Li. spoken like a spokesperson for Big Pharma, aka Big Poison. Just because you say you are a doc, does not mean you know truth. The only truth you do know, is what those at the top tell you is truth. Todays excuse for science, has been bought and paid for by those poisoning humanity, with a license. When examined without bias, you see that those in control, lie.

          • PL Chang says:

            Well said Makwah!

          • Misty says:

I have a degenerative, deteriorating disease. There is absolutely nothing doctors can do,other than pump me full of BS and lead.

          • Jason says:

            Love it Makwah, spot on!

          • SB says:

Guess what, oxygen kills, it is proven that oxygen is a very good oxidator, just like fluor. Another fact, many things, even vitamins, are harmfull in large amounts, for some 1 mg per kilo of body weight is enough to kill, for others it is more. I mean people even die because of drinking too much WATER. My point being, everything is poisonous, even the friggin air. So rather than cowering, try to live safe, yet do not become crazy.

        • Benny says:

Dr. Li, if your objective is to promote poisonous, harmful substances in order to support your own lifestyle (I will assume you’re an allopathic doctor who works for profit, much to the detriment of innocent people), or that of the corrupt Big Pharma, Good Job!

On the other hand, if you’re just totally naïve about the subject on which you’ve commented, then do yourself and humanity a huge favour; Do some genuine, independent research which involves a little bit of independent, serious work, instead of just foolishly promoting the ever-popular venomous propaganda of the high profit, totally corrupt, and extremely deadly, allopathic pharmaceutical industry.

P.S. A “Startpage” search, combined with some critical thinking skills, will yield an abundance of veritable information on the very subject you apparently know so little about.

Good luck in your independent research, Dr Li!

          Exactly 100% agree.

        • Kevin says:

Spoken like a true industry rep Dr. Li… who’s prolly not a doctor, or at least not a competent one… LOL

      • NoBiasIntended says:

LOL at youtube being used as proof source. Not to be mean, but really? Feeding your fear appetite with infowars. They make money off people like you.

  3. NoBiasIntended says:

I got here looking for the chemical breakdowns of Sucralose in the human body. Outside looking in, this page is a typical fear-mongering page. If there are advertisements on the page, they make money off that. They write shit like this to get hits from people like you to make money off the adverts. There may be some truth sprinkled in, but that is only to create a guise of credibility. Look at the advertisements on this page. Who’s the target audience? I think fanatic is a great way to describe this whole site and the people who subscribe.

    • PL Chang says:

“NoBiasIntended”…Lmao. The ads you are talking about are Adsense ads. I do not have control over those ads. Do some research on how Adsense ads work before you start making ignorant comments. Your comment makes you sound like an angry, ignorant kid who blames the world for your problems. Smh!

      • Just Another Sheep says:

Your comments make you sound like an angry, ignorant kid who blames a spooky big pharma conspiracy for your problems. Your independent, genuine research is on par with Ken Ham’s. I honestly love web sites like this as they provide endless entertainment. Did you know that dihydrogen monoxide can also eat holes in concrete and yet you probably have it in every single one of your health foods? If it harms concrete, it certainly must be a neurotoxin, right?

The problem with the conspiracy theorist is that all evidence that counters his point is seen as part of the conspiracy. You dare all of these people to do their own research. Yet, if they were to amass myriad facts demonstrating that “Yep, you’re still a quack,” your solution would be to lump them into the conspiracy. So why would anyone stoop down to try to convince you of anything? The only science you will accept as real is junk that supports your beliefs, be they random internet images and videos, or just some hunch you came up with yourself based on nothing.

        • PL Chang says:

Where in the article did I mention dihydrogen monoxide? Yes I dare people and I dare you to prove me wrong. Send me some information backed with hard evidence to prove me wrong and I will be more than happy to admit that I am wrong.

FYI #1: Conspiracy theorists are not always wrong. Some of these people have been telling us for decades that sodium fluoride is a toxic waste and recently the mainstream media (or should I say “lamestream” media) has admitted that it is toxic.

FYI #2: Many scientists are also theorists.

FYI #3: Attacking me with harsh words proves to me how ignorant and childish you are. A trait of a true sheeple.
