It's a clever sales pitch -- "Okay, you don't want to feed formula to your babies, laced with MSG and lots of HFCS, so here's something else we can sell you." As your article points out, the human body is very intelligent and can recognize the difference between human milk, cows milk, and cow's milk pretending to be human milk. We know now that placing babies too early on cow's milk is a frequent cause of type 1 diabetes. The child's body recognizes the foreign protein and, in the process of trying to destroy what it perceives to be an "invader", also destroys cells in its own pancreas which produce insulin. Of course, the milk industry makes sure this information doesn't get serious consideration in the media, so most people go on thinking milk is healthy for growing children, when it is not. It may take 30 years for science to demonstrate the exact mechanism by which this new GMO milk damages children for life, but by that time, it is too late. It is really sick how our U.S. government is collaborating with various industry groups to shove this GMO artificial food onto the public. And nobody at the FDA is listening to us in our protests about the safety issues. The smart thing to do, is "Just Say NO to GMO!"
