This is true, even if the real intent of the organic designation is to exclude synthetic chemicals and GM foods from being referred to as "organic". This must be stopped! Buyers have a right (and good reason!) to know what they are buying. No intelligent person wants to buy "a pig in a poke"! We want to know what ingredients go into our food, so that we can avoid substances we know are dangerous or allergic to. I believe the people of the world are coming to a turning point in 2012, where the majority are fed up with the way our rights are being trampled on by government and corporations working in partnership. It is obvious the USDA and the FDA are not looking out for the health of the U.S. people when they have resisted our efforts to have GMO food items clearly labeled as such. Peaceful, persistent, creative action is needed to regain our rights. I'll mention this in my blog tomorrow to get the word out.
