Choosing to avoid junk food and replacing it with healthy food isn’t just beneficial for your health. Making this healthy choice will also reduce your risk of developing chronic fatigue syndrome when you get older. Junk food is usually low in nutrients and saturated with harmful synthetic chemicals, which is why it is great for destroying your health and is the worst food for energy.

Junk food is a type of food that has been processed. This process strips the food of many of its nutrients, making it less nutritious. To make matters worse, harmful chemical preservatives and synthetic vitamins are added to it. Synthetic vitamins usually don’t work as well as natural vitamins due to the fact that they are missing other synergistic components. These components are needed to help the vitamins break down into natural chemicals that your body can burn to produce energy.

The most dangerous ingredients in junk food

The most dangerous ingredients in junk food that the food industry doesn’t want you to know are genetically modified ingredients. Independent scientific studies have linked genetically modified food to premature aging, immune disorders, birth defects, infertility, and cancer.

Besides genetically modified ingredients, a lot of processed food contains hydrogenated vegetable oil. This type of vegetable oil is loaded with carcinogens and unhealthy saturated fat, which aren’t good for your liver and heart. By consuming junk food along with hydrogenated vegetable oil, you are supplying your body with carcinogens and toxins that can cause heart disease, cancer, premature aging, and chronic fatigue.

Most conventional vegetable oils are processed and made with genetically modified organisms (GMOs), such as genetically modified corn. This type of corn has been known to produce its own pesticides, making it poisonous to pests. In the United States, the four conventional oils that frequently have genetically modified ingredients in them are corn, canola, soybean, and cottonseed oil. Most junk foods contain one of these four oils so there is a very high chance that they are contaminated with genetically modified ingredients. If you live in the United States, as of December 2013, there is no law that requires the labeling of GMOs. However, you can avoid GMOs by consuming certified organic food products.

The most common toxin in junk food

Can you guess what is the most common toxin in junk food? If your answer is refined sugar, you are correct. Refined sugar isn’t the same as natural sugar found in fruits. When you consume a fruit, you aren’t just ingesting water and sugar, but also enzymes, mineral activators, co-vitamin helpers and fiber. These elements are needed by your body to safely and effectively utilize nutrients, such as sugar. Natural sugar is also accompanied with synergistic components that are important for preventing sugar from breaking down too quickly, which can cause spikes in blood sugar and the formation of toxic metabolites.

Because refined sugar lacks other nutrients and synergistic components, your body metabolizes it differently, causing it to break down into toxic chemicals. These toxins can interfere with the respiration process of cells and thus reducing their function. As a result, your health and energy will also be affected. These negative health effects of junk food are some of the reasons why junk food is one of the worst foods for energy. To avoid these negative health effects, limit your junk food consumption and eat more organic food.
