The thing that separates Quantcast from their competitors is that publishers can tag their website using a tracking javascript code from Quantcast. This allow direct measurement of site traffic instead of relying on panel-based data which uses web data from surveys to publish basic visitor profiles from those estimates. Quancast uses panel-based data, direct measured data and cookie corrected audience data to track their visitors.
