Top Ten Energy Foods

Image provided by Sean
Fresh FruitWhen choosing energy food some people like to go for the one with the highest calories. Taking this route may not be the best way to go because high calorie food usually contains less nutrients. Nutrients are essential for metabolism and cell health. When you lack nutrients, your body can not function at maximum efficiency. As a result, you get tired easily. The best energy foods are plant-based foods, especially the organic ones. I recommend eating organic fruit and vegetable. For best results, eat them raw whenever possible because cooking them will destroy a good portion of their nutrients. If your diet consists mostly fruit and vegetable, you may need to eat more than three meals a day. Fruit and vegetable contain little calories and are easy to digest which is why they do not satisfy your hunger. To prevent this, eat fruit and vegetable that contain high levels of fiber and eat them with nuts. Below is a list of the top ten energy foods for increasing your health.

Top ten energy foods

  1. Asparagus: An excellent source of vitamin K and folate. Asparagus also contains high levels of vitamin C and A. These two antioxidants are important for reducing the negative effects of free radicals. Vitamin C is important for energy because it increases the body’s ability to absorb iron. Iron is needed to help transport oxygen in red blood cells.
  2. Black Beans: They are great energy foods because of their high levels of fiber, protein and antioxidants. These features make black beans great for regulating insulin levels. The more balance your insulin is, the more energy you will have. People who eat a lot of plant-based food may want to add black beans in their diets because they are great for preventing premature hunger.
  3. Blueberry: One of the fruits with the highest level of antioxidants. Blueberry is full of flavonoids, anthocyanin, phenolic compounds, beta-carotene, ellagic acid, vitamin C, A and E. These nutrients make blueberry as one of the best fruits for protecting against chronic fatigue.
  4. Bok Choy: The healthiest vegetable of the cabbage family. Bok choy contains high levels of vitamin C, potassium, calcium and beta-carotene. One cup of bok choy contains nearly the full RDA for beta-carotene and half the calcium of a cup of milk.

Unprocessed cereal grains are great sources of high quality complex carbohydrates which are great for energy and stamina. Cereal grains are one of the best energy foods for long-term energy.

Stress: How it Relates to Premature Aging

Stress is one of the most common cause of health problems but yet doctors rarely tell their patients to reduce their stress levels. One of the negative effects of stress is that it can cause our hormones to become imbalanced. This can lead to many chronic diseases. One of them is premature aging.

Premature aging is caused by many factors but one of the most common ones is stress. Too much stress can cause our bodies to deplete certain important nutrients, such as magnesium and calcium. These two nutrients are very important for cell health. According to researchers, stress can weaken our immune system and reduce the production of anti-aging hormones in our bodies. With less anti-aging hormones, we increased our risks of premature aging. Stress can also affect cell development. When we experience stress on a regular basis it can cause our cells to produce more receptor sites for emotional neuropeptides and less receptor sites for nutrients. With less receptor sites for nutrients, our cells can’t absorb as many nutrients. As a result, our cells become weak and can prematurely die.

Another main cause of premature aging is improper protein production. Protein is important for collagen and elastin health. Collagen and elastin are like the fibers inside our skin that hold it in place. When we don’t produce enough protein, our collagen and elastin can become fragmented, which can lead to wrinkles and saggy skin. Protein is also important for growth and development because it participate in virtually every process within cells, even down to the DNA level. Improper protein can occur when our cells don’t have enough receptor sites for nutrients. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, the less receptor sites for nutrients is related to excessive stress.

Numerology: The Blueprint for Spiritual Growth and Happiness

Color Numbers Numerology is a numeral system that used numbers to express a person’s characteristics, talents and path in life. It is a powerful system that connects numbers with fundamental laws of the Universe. The core numbers of Numerology begin with five numbers which are known as the primary numbers. These numbers may vary depending on what version of Numerology being used. Two of the primary numbers come from your birthday and the other three come from your name. These five numbers can give you a blueprint of who you are. This is very important for spiritual growth and happiness, because they can show you your strength and weaknesses, and what resonate well with your soul. For these reasons, they are very important for helping you find the right career and partner.

Using Numerology as a blueprint for spiritual growth may seem strange and mystical, but when you study the science behind Numerology, it becomes clear and very precise, just like mathematical laws. The Universe that you live in is a very mysterious and mystical place. Within the Universe are universal laws which are needed to bring order from chaos. One of these laws deals with energy vibration which is one of the fundamental forces of the Universe. Without vibration there will be no light and without light there will be no life. Everything in the Universe is nothing but projections of light which is also energy vibration. This means that numbers are also projections of light; therefore, they have vibration too. If numbers don’t have vibration, they will not exist. Vibration is important for your spiritual growth and happiness because everything in the Universe depends on vibration for experience.

Numerology is important for your spiritual growth and happiness because it can show the right paths you need to take. This can save you time and help cut down on mistakes; therefore, your life won’t feel like it is going in circle. One of the greatest gift of Numerology is that it can help you find your life lessons. The sooner you can find your life lesson and learn from it, the sooner you can move on to the next lesson. This is very important for spiritual growth because when you learn lessons you are transcending your current experience.

Besides helping you find your life lessons, Numerology can also help you find your soul mates. The reason I used plural for soul mate is because you have more than one soul mate. The idea of having one specific soul mate is a misconception. This doesn’t mean that you should go around cheating on your husband or wife. Remember, the Universe has universal laws that can’t be broken. One of its laws is the Law of Attraction which states that, “what you do to others shall be done to you.” Some of us like to refer to this concept as karma. Having more than one soul mate means that if your current soul mate decided to leave you, you can always find another soul mate with the same love potential or even better.

The number that is most important for happiness is your life path number. This number lays the foundation for your spiritual growth. To find your life path number you need to add up the numbers that make up your birthday. For example: if a person’s birthday is 2/5/1974, he or she will need to add the numbers down to a single number.

  • 2+5+1+9+7+4=28
  • 2+8=10 (got the answer by adding the previous total)
  • 1+0=1

The life path number for having a birthday on 2/5/1974 is 1. People with a life path of 1 are usually independent and they love to strive for first place. Finding your life path number and comparing it to other people’s life path number can help you determine which people would get along with you the best. This is very important for finding true love.

How to Increase Metabolism

Metabolism is an essential process within cells that converts food and nutrient into energy. This process is essential for your survival, because without it you will not be able to function and your body cannot grow. Most people have normal metabolism when they are young but their metabolism can drop dramatically in their late 20′s. Low metabolism is caused by many factors, one of the major ones is toxin. Toxins such as heavy metals are very destructive to your cells and can reduce their performance. When your cells are not working efficiently, your organs’ performance decrease. One of the organs that is very important for metabolism is the thyroid.

Below is an excerpt from my book Natural Weight Loss Secrets about a low thyroid affects metabolism.

If you are young and have a low metabolism, you may have a low thyroid or too many toxins in your body. Toxins such as heavy metals are very destructive to cells and can reduce their performance. When your cells are not working efficiently, they affect the performance of your organs. The thyroid is a very important organ for the metabolism. If you have low metabolism, there is a very high chance that you also have low thyroid. Most tests done at clinics are not very good at detecting low thyroid. The test that I recommend is the Barnes Basal Temperature Test; it is easy, fast and accurate. To do the test simply measure your body’s temperature in the morning with a sensitive digital thermometer. When you wake up, immediately place the digital thermometer in your armpit for five to ten minutes. During this time, it is important to lie still and be relaxed. After five to ten minutes, check the temperature on the thermometer. If it reads below 97.8 °F, you may have low a thyroid.2 To increase your thyroid performance detox your body of toxins by oral chelation supplements or chelation therapy. In addition, you should go on a detox diet; it will usually consist of organic fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Nutrients are also important for increasing your metabolism, especially trace minerals. Trace minerals are important for metabolism because they help cells utilize energy; therefore, when your body lacks trace minerals, your cells’ performance drop. This may lead to a low metabolism. To increase trace mineral levels in your body, eat more organic plant-based food. The trick is to eat it raw whenever possible. Mineral supplements are also good at increasing metabolism but not all of them are created equally. For best results, buy the mineral supplements that are made with chelated minerals.
