How Sex Improves Immunity
KissResearchers at Wilkes University did a recent study which concluded that sex may help prevent the common cold. The study involved undergraduates students who agreed to participate in the study. The students who had sex once or twice per week had a significant increase of immunoglobulin A (IGA) in their saliva. Although, students who had sex more than three times per week had less IGA, even less than students who rarely had sex at all. People who have low levels of IGA have a greater risk of getting sick.
