The FDA should make it mandatory for energy drink manufacturers to put warning labels on their products because most of their energy drink products contain very high levels of synthetic vitamins and stimulant compounds. Two of the most hazardous synthetic chemicals that are commonly found in energy drinks and energy shots are aspartame and sucralose. Aspartame and sucralose are synthetic sugars that have strong excitotoxin properties; therefore, they do a great job destroying nerve cells.

Most energy drinks contain synthetic vitamins, minerals and other synthetic chemicals. They also contain a lot of energy blends, such as glucose, caffeine, and energy herbs. Many of the ingredients in energy drinks can cause side effects ranging from headaches, stomachaches, insomnia, dehydration, tremors, blood sugar spikes, energy crashes, increase of heart and breathing rate.
Energy drink can be dated back to the early 1900′s. Nobody really knows when the first energy drink was created but some believed that the first energy drink was created in Scotland in 1901. Defining what an energy drink is can be hard because there are so many varieties of energy drinks out there.
XS Citrus Blast’s energy comes from B-vitamins, amino acids and adaptogenic herbs. Its energy did not last as long as some of the XS energy drinks I reviewed but kept me alert and focus for about an hour. Two things that concerned me about XS energy drinks are their synthetic ingredients, such as synthetic vitamins, and sucralose, an artificial sweetener. One of the synthetic vitamins found in this flavor is vitamin B12. It contains 4,900 percent of the percent daily value. To be safe you should limit one can per few days or less.
Energy drinks are the new hype these days. Ever since Red Bull was introduced in the mid 1980s, over 100 plus energy drinks had rushed out into the market. With so many choices to choose from, how do you know which one is better? To be honest it is hard to tell, the only way to know which one is the best is to taste them all. Even though these energy drinks are great at temporary increasing energy, many of them contain cheap synthetic vitamins and artificial sweetener. Private studies have shown that some synthetic ingredients can be toxic to the body, please drink with care.
