Amphetamine and Parkinson’s Disease

The drug amphetamine is classified as an excitotoxins by private drug researchers. They suggested that amphetamine stimulates certain nerve cells to death, which is why they believed it is a major contributor to Parkinson’s disease. The way amphetamine stimulates nerve cells cause them to deplete their ATP and phocreatinine faster. Excitotoxins such as amphetamine, MSG and aspartame (an artificial sweetener), destroy nerve cells similar to how power surges destroy electrical devices but just not as intense.
