Stomach Ulcers: Causes and Treatments
Stomach ulcers are caused by many things but one of the causes that has strong support from researchers is bacterial infection. Researchers have found a strong link between the bacteria Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and stomach ulcers. Bacterial infection in the stomach is more common when the body lacks vitamin C or the stomach contains low levels of hydrochloric acid.
