Constipation Causes and Treatments
One of the main causes of constipation is unhealthy diet low in fiber. Not drinking enough water is also another cause of constipation. You should drink 6 to 8 cups of water per day depending on your diet and your activity level. Dietary fiber is crucial for preventing constipation because it increases bowel movement and prevents the large intestine (colon) from absorbing too much water.
