Irradiated Food: Safe or Hazardous
Food irradiation is nothing new, in fact, it has been around for almost a century. Food irradiation is done by exposing food to ionizing radiation. The safety of the food depends on the dose of radiation. Low dose of radiation, less than 1kGy (kiloGray), is probably safe for the most part.
