We are all IMMORTAL SPIRIT BEINGS who have lived out THOUSANDS of other physical lives here on earth before this one. Each time we die, we return to the spirit world and have a conference with wise counselors who review our life’s history and help us decide on the best plan for our future and continued SPIRITUAL GROWTH for our NEXT physical lifetime. After a period of rest, study (oh yes, you’re as busy and occupied on the Other Side as you are on this one), and self examination, we return to the earth plane by entering the body of a carefully chosen newborn baby, just as we had done on so many occasions in the past. The memory of our past lives is erased from our CONSCIOUS mind when we begin a new life in order to allow us the complete freedom of making truly unbiased (and uncoerced) SPIRITUAL DECISIONS on a day to day basis.

Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) have proposed a new model that shifts how we think about mindfulness. Rather than describing mindfulness as a single dimension of cognition, the researchers demonstrate that mindfulness actually involves a broad framework of complex mechanisms in the brain. In essence, they have laid out the science behind mindfulness. This new model of mindfulness is published in the October 25, 2012 issue of Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.

In order to discipline your mind you will need to learn how to better control your thoughts. Positive thoughts call forth inner peace and negative thoughts disturb inner peace. Therefore, if you are a person who has more positive thoughts, your state of mind will be more peaceful, reducing stress. Emotions also affect the state of your mind because your feelings of emotions determine the believability of what your mind is discerning. The more positive emotions you experience, the less you disturb your inner peace. One of the major misconceptions that we have with negative emotions is that we believe the person or thing causing us to be upset is the source of our problems. In reality, the main reason why we are upset is because the source that is causing us to be upset is hitting emotional problems that we do not understand.
